Anita wanted to be a rock star before realising she was tone deaf. But the rock world’s loss is our gain, because to us Anita is a star. Yes that’s totally cheesy, but Anita guides and motivates our team of property managers, and we couldn’t do it without her. She is an expert at navigating the relationships with owners and with tenants, and manages contractors for property management with aplomb.
Tania knows a lot of people, and is passionate about meeting even more – she’s unstoppable! Her network is far-reaching and adds great value to her relationships with investors. She’s always available for a chat and to provide the best possible advice and service to our clients.
Comprendé would not be the same without our happy and approachable colleague. Adam is our Viewing and Inspections Officer, which means that he’s responsible for finding the right tenants for your property. He does all the preliminary work, engaging with prospective tenants and showing your property – which is where his natural affinity with people comes to the fore.
Nerissa used to be a Private Investigator, so nothing much phases her. She’s our go-to for managing complicated situations, maintenance issues, tenancy issues and even ‘acts of God’ weather-wise. She handles everything with calm, pragmatism and humour. Her philosophy is to ‘get stuck in’, no matter what.
Rebecca is an active property investor with a background of sales and customer service. She has always had a love of dealing with people, mutli-tasking and troubleshooting. Her love of property came from managing her parents rental properties, so she made a career in it! Rebecca's commitment to being a team player and helping home owners and tenants is evident.
Maryanne loves building relationships with tenants and owners, and providing counsel and sage advice. She has experience managing properties within trust portfolios and deceased estates, and can handle any situation with sensitivity and positivity. When we need a laugh, Maryanne always provides one in the office.
Alex processes all of our new tenant applications, greets owners, tenants and contractors at our reception, and provides administrative support to the property managers. This can be a very busy role, but Alex is always happy to help. We thank god for her cool, calm, collected (and cheerful) nature. “I’ll sleep when I’m dead” is her motto, but we do manage to pry her away from the reception desk occasionally.
Jake has joined us from London, where he cut his teeth working for one of the biggest housing associations in the city. From the converted stables of Notting Hill to the ubiquitous weatherboard houses of New Zealand, what hasn’t changed is Jake’s love of a bit of banter, and building great relationships.
We’re sorry, we couldn’t resist the pun. But Sapphire really is fantastic, a go-getter who loves to meet all kinds of different people, to listen and to help them reach their goals. Coming from a Law Enforcement background, Sapphire can tackle any hairy situation with kindness and humour. She loves seeing all the cool properties out there, and finding the perfect tenants for each one.
Grant has brought a freshness of thinking and his entrepreneurial spirit to Comprendé, forged over 20 years working everywhere from the Middle East to Asia. He’s constantly looking for ways to do things better, and believes that the best thing for business is to make real human connections. Grant guides and supports the rest of the Comprendé family with a gentle hand, and a Scottish accent.
Shaleah joined us at the beginning of 2021 to assist with the high volume of applications and has become an essential part of our team, always boosting the morale and greeting tenants, owners and contractors with a happy face.
Shaleah is originally from Tauranga; loves the sunshine and beach but has traded that for the big city to study Psychology and Criminology.
