The expo showcases the best of Porirua’s local products, services, crafts and community services, it has become a not-to-be-missed annual event. Come along to see your favourite local businesses or learn about what amazing innovations and services are being offered right in your own city. Mills Albert Wellington Saints v Canterbury Rams

The Mills Albert Wellington Saints take to the court for what is sure to be a massive 2026 season. After taking out the 2025 season with a nail-biting win over the Southland Sharks, can they defend their championship title? Kiwi coach Aaron Young takes to the helm again after winning coach of the year. Hutt Valley local Jordan Hunt returns to the team after representing New Zealand in the Tall Blacks, and Melbourne’s Akech Aliir joins the Saints, bringing 6’9” of power and athleticism.
Wellington Ice Rink

Queen’s Wharf
Paradice EVENTS returns to Wellington this winter with the Wellington Ice Rink at Queens Wharf, running from Saturday 20 June to Sunday 19 July. Located on Wellington’s waterfront, the pop-up ice rink transforms Queens Wharf into a seasonal skating destination for visitors of all ages.
Now in its seventh year in Wellington, the event offers a winter skating experience in the heart of the city, featuring music, lighting effects, and sessions suitable for both experienced skaters and first-time visitors.
Harlem Globetrotters — 100 Year Tour

The year 2026 will see the American exhibition basketball team, the Harlem Globetrotters, celebrate their 100-year anniversary. Wellington gets to celebrate with them when they visit in July. The team will take over TSB Arena and again revel in 100 years of thrills, laughs, and sheer basketball joy. If you aren’t already a fan, then sit back and watch their combined athleticism, sense of theatre, and comedy play out on the court. The gravity-defying dunks and dexterous tricks will have you roaring for more.
RNZB Winter Season
16 July – 1 August
St James Theatre
At its heart is the New Zealand premiere of Sir Frederick Ashton’s Birthday Offering, performed as a centenary tribute to Southland-born ballerina Rowena Jackson and as part of Ashton Worldwide 2024–8. Completing the programme are two works created for the RNZB: Sarah Foster-Sproull’s exuberant Ultra Folly, inspired by the rhythmic energy of La Folia, and Andrea Schermoly’s Stand to Reason, a powerful tribute to the women of Aotearoa and the enduring fight for equality. Together, these three works honour legacy, connection and the timeless spirit of dance.
Winter Igloos
June – September
St Johns
The St Johns Igloos are back for winter in Wellington from June through September. Escape the cold and settle into your own private heated igloo overlooking the waterfront, complete with a seasonal à la carte menu and five exclusive cocktails created just for the season. Perfect for long lunches, after-work drinks, date nights, and group celebrations, the Igloos are available seven days a week across lunch and evening sessions.
