Property Manager

Who we are

We’re Comprendé, an award-winning team of residential property managers and licenced real estate agents in Wellington. Founded in 2014, we’ve spent the past decade earning our reputation as trusted advisors on all things property. We’re all about delivering exceptional experiences for property owners and tenants alike.

We look after our people, supporting them to have the balance between work and life just right.  We believe that great property management comes from having well supported team members.  We were proud to have been shortlisted for the Best Places to Work Awards 2025 – Small Business Category, a true reflection of how much we value and care for our people.  And guess what? We’re looking for a new team member to join our fun crew.

The Role
We’re growing and are looking for someone to play a key role in supporting our team of Property Managers during peak periods and team absence.  You’ll work collaboratively with our Property Mangement team to assist them with their portfolios and ensure seamless continuity of high quality service to our clients and tenants.   You’ll be a trusted and stable support to our team and enjoy the variety of working across a broad range of portfolios.  Your work will directly impact client retention, satisfaction and attraction.

Our team is enabled by both great technology and team support to do what Property Managers do best – build strong and enduring relationships.  Supported by our team of field specialists and other Property Managers, you’ll:

  • Build strong relationships with owners and tenants
  • Ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant
  • Drive successful outcomes for our clients and tenants
  • Deliver exceptional customer service

This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), however we’re also open to candidates seeking part-time hours who can work across five days.

What You’ll Bring
This role would suit an experienced Property Manager, or someone with a passion for residential property, who is looking for a role without the responsibility of managing your own portfolio. You’re flexible, adaptable and love to support others and provide great service.  You’ll have understanding of the Residential Tenancy Act and health and safety requirements, as well as property management software experience.  However, we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant qualifications and transferable experience outside of property management.

You’ll also have:

  • A genuine interest in property and people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Problem-solving skills and practical solutions
  • A proactive, can-do attitude, and great energy.
  • Good financial literacy. You understand financial statements and are able to communicate transaction history and property budgeting well.

What Makes You Excel:

  • You’re naturally organised and detail-oriented
  • You enjoy building lasting relationships
  • You take pride in delivering great service
  • You’re a team player who also works well independently

What We Offer
We pride ourselves on our kind, generous and vibrant culture. We trust, care and look out for each other.  We’re all about growth as individuals, a team and an organisation.  If you have ideas, we want your voice to be heard.  We work hard, and like to have fun along the way.  You’ll also enjoy:

  • An above industry standard base remuneration and car park
  • A team of field specialists that enable you to focus on nurturing relationships
  • A supportive team environment where collaboration is valued
  • Modern technology to enable efficient systems and processes
  • No after-hours on-call responsibilities
  • A truly fun culture that celebrates success
