Grant Foggo – GM/Director

“We created Comprende to lift the standard of services that owners and tenants can expect from the Property Management Industry”. 

Grant is a proud Scotsman and a Kiwi who left his homeland in his early 20’s.  He spent 20 years in senior management and sales roles in the Middle East and Asia before settling in Wellington in 2002.

As an entrepreneur and an innovator Grant has a refreshing and interesting approach to business.  He believes that business success is a result of connections and he’s constantly amazed at what happens as a result of connecting face to face with people.  Grant has found that the more he seeks to assist people the more these connections add value back into his life.

Anita Smith – Senior Property Manager

Eight years ago, after fifteen years in Finance and Office Management, Anita decided she needed a change.

After looking at various possibilities where she could use her strong organisational skills, her ability to identify trouble spots and implement efficiencies, her negotiation skills and her business background, Anita found a superb fit with Property Management

Property Management isn’t for the faint hearted.  It poses many challenges, including keeping several balls in the air at any given time.  Such challenges include having difficult conversations with both owners and tenants, working with contractors to understand and resolve property maintenance issues, and ensuring that the property is being looked after by both the owner and the tenant.

Anita enjoys and thrives on these challenges and, at the same time, she also manages to inspire, motivate and guide our team of Property Managers for Comprende.

Adam Beganovich – Lettings & Inspections Officer

After spending three years as a Social Housing Officer with Wellington City Council Adam came to us and he’s been with us for more than two years. Seriously, Comprende just would not be the same without this cheerful, happy and approachable colleague.

Adam is our Viewing and Inspections Officer which means that he’s responsible for finding the right tenants for your property. He does all the preliminary the work engaging with prospective tenants and showing your property.

Adam’s natural affinity for working with people in a personable and approachable manner developed into solid people skills and his property letting and supervision experience was invaluable to his desire to join the commercial world.

As a husband and father of four, when he’s not out and about showing potential tenants our wide range of properties, Adam is usually running after his kids at parks and swimming pools and he also really enjoys playing a bit of touch rugby in the summer.

Nadine Henry – Property Manager

Nadine has over ten years experience in the Property Management industry and she enjoys a strong reputation for her professionalism, her diligence and her thorough approach to achieving the best outcomes for her owners and tenants. Nadine is one of our most experienced members of the Comprende team. Apart from enjoying great relationships with her owners and tenants Nadine makes sure that she has plenty of time with her family and friends and she is also very keen on both the outdoors and cuisine.

Kelly Moloney – Property Manager

Kelly’s background is quite different!  She came to property management after 18 years in the dental sector.  Whilst she loved her work Kelly knew it was time for a change and so, taking a practical, ‘let’s fix this’ approach she went to see a careers advisor.   Together they identified Kelly’s strengths, transferable skills and experience and worked out that property management was the perfect match for her.  Since then Kelly hasn’t looked back.

After trying a couple of companies Kelly came to us and found that she could feel settled and free to do her job with the integrity and honesty she believes in.  Kelly has signed on whole heartedly to our philosophy of “understanding property, investors & tenants”.

Kelly is passionate about providing exceptional service to her owners and looking after her tenants.  Her time management, attention to detail and commitment to properties and their owners is without question.

Kelly is also a very social person who is always up for a wine with her girlfriends.  She enjoys golf, gardening & DIY projects at home.  Kelly’s a firm favourite with the team because she brings so much joy and humour to our space.

Nerissa O’Donnell – Property Manager

Nerissa came to us with fresh, new energy.  She’s been a property manager for 18 months and absolutely loves the industry.  After several years working as a Private Investigator, there’s not much that shocks or surprises Nerissa and her implacable and unflappable pragmatism has been invaluable to her work as a property manager.  She deals with maintenance issues, tenancy issues and even ‘acts of God’ weather-wise with calm and humour.

Nerissa enjoys the enormous variety her work gives her and she thrives on the fact that no two days are the same.  When not working her magic for us Nerissa enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Mark Warrior – New Business Manager

As our New Business Manager, Mark seeks out properties and developments for Comprende to look after.   Prior to working in sales and as a director in the property management sector, Mark spent 25 years’ in Finance, Banking and Derivatives Broking in London and Wellington.

Having also been a property investor since 2001 Mark has a keen insight into property trends, interest rate cycles and calculating investment opportunities as they arise.

With his strong finance and investment background Mark is always available to owners and potential investors for advice and he looks to add value above and beyond your usual sales manager.

Tania McCrystall – New Business Manager

Tania is a New Business Manager who came to Comprende with a wide range of Business Development experience in Recruitment, Insurance and the Outbound Telemarketing arenas.

Tania has always been interested in the Property Market and she has a far-reaching network of contacts and business associates that can add value to her relationships with investors who are looking to ensure that their investments continue to work for them going forward.  And, like Mark, Tania is always available to owners and potential investors for advice and she too is passionate about providing the best possible advice and level of service to owners.

Alice Sandford – Finance Manager

Having worked in property management for over 11 years, Alice has accumulated a vast store of knowledge about the industry.  Initially Alice started in administration, however her formidable attention to detail and love of numbers steered her in the finance direction.

Alice has been Finance Manager for Comprendé for close to 2 years.  She is responsible for the daily rent receipts, ensuring that all Comprende’s clients and contractors are paid on time.  Anything that comes into Comprende’s office with a dollar sign on it will pass through her capable hands.

Alice is always trying to find the most effective and efficient way to get things done, she takes huge pride in her work and always goes the extra mile for her colleagues, owners and tenants.

A great sense of humour and friendly attitude make Alice a popular and very useful member of our team. She’s always willing to help others when needed and she lives for a 0.00 balance at the end of every reconciliation.

In her spare time Alice loves to go out for dinner with her friends and enjoy a cocktail or two.  As a mother of two Alice dedicates most of her spare time with her family.

Amy Sinclair – Operations Manager

Amy has gained an extensive knowledge of sales, marketing and operational management of health clubs both in New Zealand and the UK. After 17 years in the health and fitness industry, Amy chose a change in career direction which saw her moving into property. Amy has always had a keen interest in property and is a self-confessed property program addict so found that a move was a great fit.

Amy is responsible for receptionist and administrative duties and operational aspects of the business. With her ability to organise and multitask, Amy thrives on ensuring that she provides excellent customer satisfaction, and even in a busy industry, she enjoys tackling new challenges and offering a friendly and professional service. When Amy is not in the office you will find her in the gym or getting reacquainted with New Zealand’s extraordinary coastline.

Tayla – Assistant Accounts Administrator

I’m Tayla and I assist alongside Alice as the accounts administrator.

Originally I am from Taupo, but moved to Wellington in 2017 for University. I am currently studying a bachelor of commerce majoring in marketing & management at Victoria University. 

I enjoy working for Comprende because of how flexible and understanding the staff here are. The fun nature of the workplace makes work so much more enjoyable too.

When I’m not working, you can find me studying at university or socialising with my friends.

Alex – Social Media Manager/Admin Assistant

I am the social media manager and admin assistant at Comprende. I am behind the Facebook posts and helping out the property managers with admin to ensure that “hands-on” property management is their top priority.

Marketing is my passion and it’s exciting to be able to use these skills in my job. Since working at Comprende I have learned a lot about the property market and I enjoy the opportunity to promote a challenging industry in a creative way. To be a part of the driven, professional and lively team at Comprende is awesome.
